For dramatic impact, you can experiment with one wall as a ‘feature wall’ & make a theatrical, spectacular statement! This way you can also see whether you like & feel comfortable with incorporating a bit of dramatic ‘look at me’ impact into a room, & how you feel about the intensity of the color. Its better to start with a lighter version of the color – you can always darken the intensity. That’s easier than the other way around.
Now that may be based on one or more or a combination of the styles, that is your choice. The most important thing is that it is you & expresses who you are & your loves & creative expression!. If you would like to go with one of the styles then do so. It’s your choice. Research it. Plan it out. It’s what inspires you to move forward that’s important here.
Hey loves! I’m sharing how I made the designer books for my bookshelf. Super easy & inexpensive. Hope you make some too! Enjoy!! Thanks for watching!
Be careful using colors that are too dark, or too strong – you should tread carefully with dark browns, dark reds & dark greens – they can overpower a room & make it seem daunting, uncomfortable, unrelaxing & even claustrophobic.
Accentuate your room’s major feature item. A sofa is a major purchase item, & one that you will hopefully, have for some length of time. So, consider your choice carefully. The color you choose should not be ‘too wild’ or extreme, unless you have chosen to go really bold & unusual as part of your decorating theme for your room. Its better if you consider a sofa as part of the canvas of your room, with some leeway of course, that you can accentuate further with colorful cushions, throw rugs & other home accent accessories.
